Fleece throw: your questions
Fleece throw or faux fur throw: which should I choose?
A fleece throw is lighter and thinner: it holds the warmth well, dries fast and suits everyday use, on the sofa or when travelling. Faux fur has a longer, denser pile, for a more luxurious look and more enveloping warmth. Our fleece throws range from about 400 to 900 g/m², our faux fur throws from 950 to 1,250 g/m².
How do I wash a fleece throw?
Your fleece throw is very easy to machine wash:
- Wash at 30 °C, with little detergent
- Never use fabric softener, which damages fleece fibres
- Dry flat in the open air
- Avoid tumble drying and ironing directly on the fibres
Fleece dries fast and stays soft wash after wash.
Is a fleece throw really warm?
Yes. Fleece traps air between its fibres: it holds the warmth while staying light. For an even warmer throw, choose a double-layer model, with two layers of fleece and a higher weight, up to 900 g/m² depending on the model.
Single or double-layer fleece throw: what's the difference?
A single-layer fleece throw (around 420 g/m²) is light, easy to fold and take along. A double-layer throw joins two layers of fleece, often a pattern on one side and a plain colour on the other: it's thicker and warmer. Each model's weight is given on its product page, in the « Dimensions and support » section.
